Answers offers the Advantage Plan, a program of on-going personnel/HR support. This plan is designed to offer organizations on-going personnel information and advice. It is ideal for small organizations that do not have a full-time human resources person, or where the HR staff may need technical support on compliance or complex issues.
Unlimited telephone or email access to HR Answers consultants regarding any HR or employee related question. Access includes any designated manager or supervisor in the enrolled organization.

- Quarterly Advantage Watch

- Creation or revision of custom policies or forms
- Assessment and documentation of harassment, unemployment, Worker's Compensation, or BOLI claims.

- On-site training programs
- Recruiting assistance
- Outplacement assistance
- Labor Relations assistance
- Risk Management with regard to employment law
To meet the specific needs of your organization, the following HR services can be included in your Advantage Plan agreement:
- A Human Resource Practices Audit which includes a review of employee files, personnel forms, policies and procedures, benefits, compensation practices, and employee relations activities.
- Creation, revision, and maintenance of personnel policies, procedures and forms.
- Half-day semi-annual Supervisory Training sessions covering any personnel policies, procedures and forms.
- Annual salary survey and recommendations regarding any pay changes necessary to keep your pay program competitive.
- Annual employee opinion survey to solicit information, ideas and level of satisfaction regarding company policies and practices, pay and benefits, communications, working conditions, suggestions for change, etc.
- Preliminary investigation and documentation of EEO charges, Workers' Compensation, and unemployment claims.
- Training of one administrative individual relative to personnel information, policy interpretation, and record keeping requirements.
- Interview with individual supervisors and/or managers regarding their personnel and management philosophy with a resulting summary report to management that can be utilized as an aid in determining development and training needs.
These additional services are priced based on company size (number of employees). They may be included at time of agreement thus spreading the cost over a 12 month period, or they may be added as needed during the contract period.
When to Call Suggested list of situations when calling
HR Answers may be appropriate:
- Creating a new position
- Making a hiring decision (if unclear, references incomplete, conflicting information, etc.)
- Issues and circumstances requiring disciplinary action
- When an employee walks off the job
- Before any termination
- When Employment Division approves unemployment payments
- When a Workers' Compensation injury or illness occurs
- Upon receipt of notice for any State or Federal Audit
- Uncertain about how much to pay a person
- Employee files any type of legal action, grievance, etc.
- Employee requests a Leave of Absence
- Employee is disabled
- Employee requests exemption to policy
- Questions regarding current company policies, procedures and corresponding forms
- Questions regarding new or revised policy or form
- Prior to benefit plan renewal
- A conflict exists between employee and supervisor that can't be resolved
